The National Doctors Day is celebrated on 1st of July every year in the honour of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy to recognize the contributions of physicians made to individual lives and communities. In recent times our country has witnessed the hostility that the doctors face at their workplace. With the rising disparity and load on doctors, it is a need of the hour that we advocate for a safer space for our doctors especially during the covid crisis. SCOME MSAI envisioned a campaign to advocate for a safer workplace for the doctors by incorporating the values that our members possess with respect to our topic in hand.

PM&R help in minimizing mortality, disability & improving clinical outcomes & participation. As people recover from COVID, there will be a new pandemic of critical illness survivors, with disabilities arising due to prolonged ICU stay as well as consequences of severe respiratory illness. The longer the duration of ICU stay, the higher is the risk for long-term physical, cognitive, and emotional impairments needing comprehensive and early rehabilitation. This activity focuses on the indispensable role of primitive and interdisciplinary rehabilitation in restoring functions, and improving quality of life in survivors after hospital stay
