FUNDAMENTAL DIVISION

The fundamental division comprises of the College representatives (CRs), Local Committee Representatives (LCRs) and the Election Commission.

The Election Commission of MSAI serves as a supervisory and advisory body to the Fundamental Division, ensuring that all electoral processes within the organization are conducted in a fair, transparent, and efficient manner. Acting as an active resource body, it is responsible for overlooking the administration of elections, upholding democratic values, and ensuring compliance with the established rules and procedures.

In order to maintain neutrality and impartiality, members of the Election Commission are prohibited from holding any other official position within MSAI during their tenure. This safeguard prevents conflicts of interest and strengthens the credibility of the Commission’s work.

The composition of the Election Commission reflects inclusivity and representation, as it must include at least one member from each region of MSAI. This structure ensures that diverse perspectives are acknowledged and that regional voices are equally represented in the electoral process.

The Election Commission is mandated to fulfil its responsibilities in accordance with the MSAI bylaws, which serve as the guiding framework for its operations. By doing so, the Commission safeguards the principles of accountability, transparency, and fairness within MSAI’s governance system.
