  • High-level event during the United Nations General Assembly 2019 jointly hosted by the NCD Alliance, UNDP, WHO, IISD entitled Planetary Health Dialogue: Triple wins for health, environment and sustainable development in September 2019 where the VPE spoke at a panel in NY, USA

  • Roundtable on Abortion by the YP foundation in Delhi - MSAI was invited to be on the panel alongside other experts

  • Regional Dialogue Roundtable by World Obesity Federation Roundtable held in Delhi- 2 representatives from MSAI attended the event and engaged in stimulating discussions on the the Global Syndemic of Obesity, Undernutrition and Climate Change on 11th November 2019

  • 6 delegates represented MSAI at the 4th National Conference Of Family Planning & Primary Care held at the JN Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute Of Science, Bangalore on the 3rd & 4th of August, 2019; MSAI also had a speaking spot at the event where we spoke about the work we were doing on an organisational scale

  • AFPICON 2019 was attended by the VPX, Mr. Pranav Prashanth, in Kerala in January 2020

  • The 3rd edition of Good Pitch India was attended by the VPA, Ms. Katya Saksena, who made the pitch on behalf of MSAI at the event on 4th March 2020 in Mumbai

2022

  • Project hohai: As a part of its ongoing efforts to contribute towards society, MSAI organized a fundraiser named PROJECT HOHAI in the month of June to aid the victims of the Northeastern Floods. The project aimed to collect funds nationwide to provide basic amenities, including medicines, to those affected by the floods.

  • WYHF and MSAI  collaboration to strengthen the rural healthcare system by improving access to cardiovascular healthcare services with strengthening the rural healthcare system by improving access to cardiovascular healthcare services. 

  • ETHOS: In the  light the Seventh World Bioethics Day, MSAI joined hands with ETHOS 5.0 to bring together global Bioethics enthusiasts. ETHOS 5.0 was an amalgamation of multiple customised workshops, ethics committee deliberations, Model United Nations and keynote sessions by stalwarts in Bioethics that truly inspired the delegates. Hosted as a grand on ground and virtual event by the K S Hegde Medical Academy in Mangalore, Karnataka NITTE, on 11-13 November 2022 the delegates attending the conference got a real world experience and understanding of the system of discussion of pressing issues pertaining to the domain of bioethics.

  • ACTION 2022: ACTION an abbreviation for the Asian Collaborative Training on Infectious Disease Outbreaks, Natural Disasters, and Refugee Management provides knowledge and experienced skills for preventing, relieving,and rehabilitating victims of infectious outbreaks and natural disasters to medical students in theAsia-Pacific region.          ACTION 2022 a 4 day based training course to strengthen knowledge and skills regarding  disaster risk reduction and emergencymanagement  took place in Bangkok, Thailand* from 13th to 17th of October 2022. Consequently,participants were capacitated to respond to emergency settings with confidence, and to provide care with holistic humanitarian actions.

  • Fragile X webinar on 30 July 2022: "Introduction to Fragile X Syndrome" in collaboration with Ms. Shalini Kedia, the Chairperson of the Fragile X Society-India. The webinar aimed to provide healthcare students with an understanding of Fragile X Syndrome and its impact on individuals and families.

  • B.R.A.V.E (Breastfeeding Responsibility Awareness and Vocalising Empowerment) Capacity Building Workshop on 6 August 2022, in collaboration with Dr. Mettu Pradeep Reddy, who worked as UNICEF State Neonatal and RMNCH+A Consultant for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The workshop aimed to empower healthcare professionals and students to provide and sustain breastfeeding-friendly environments for families.

  • ETHICS IN ORGAN DONATION WEBINAR Webinar by Dr. Ravi Mohanka on 18 August 2022 on Ethics in Organ donation as a part of ‘Ethics in Organ Donation’ campaign by MSAI Standing Committee on Public Health (SCOPH) and Bioethics Unit encompassed a variety of ethics - laden issues ranging relating to procurement, consent, and allocation. Doctors for clean air conclave on September 4 the Lung Care Foundation in partnership with the Medical Students' Association of India (MSAI) organized a virtual conclave on the occasion of the UN's International Day of Clean Air for blue skies. 

  • The AFPI Foundation Day - National Family Medicine Day (NFMD) Launch on 25 September 2022 was marked by a panel discussion that included Mr. Shikhar Dabas and Ms. Shrutika Bhatt, National Officers on Medical Education (NOMEs) at the Medical Student Association of India (MSAI).The panel discussed the importance of incorporating family medicine into the medical education curriculum, highlighting the need for medical students to receive training in primary care and community health.

  • Ethics in genomics webinar: A webinar on clinical genomics and it's ethical and legal aspects held on 22 April 2023 This SCOME Bioethics Unit venture answered the intricacies of ethical and legal implications of genomics in a clinical setup.

  • BCamp by Dr Samita Bhardwaj: On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness month on 30th October MSAI organized a webinar as a part of its Breast cancer awareness campaign B-CAMP. Dr.Samita Bhardwaj a gynaecologist and a national program manager for FOGSI India graciously indulged in an active dialogue with all the participants regarding this prevalent issue.

  • The WHITE COURT Open Space Discussion (OSD) on 14 April 2023 took place  to help medical undergraduates understand the medico-legal provisions of our country, and how to safeguard ourselves from medical negligence and litigations.

  • This SCOME Bioethics Unit collaboration was graced by Dr Poorva Patil MBBS,MPH President MSAI 2019.

  • AMR WORKSHOP with WHO: Dr Manisha Devani: Coming onboard the MSAI x WHO webinar as a panelist on Prescription Writing and AMR was an honor. It was wonderful to interact with young minds, the future healthcare professionals of our country, and give them an overview of AMR from a clinical, practical perspective. The spirit and dedication of MSAI to work in this field – that requires attention from the next generation of doctors – is absolutely commendable.
