Who we are?
The Public Health Exchanges are a collaboration between SCOPH and SCOPE at an international, national and local level.
Our Goals
-
To empower students in the fields of Public Health by gaining expertise in practical Public Health work.

To actively educate students about Public, International and Global Health and how to practically contribute to it and its approach in different countries.

To develop a comprehensive understanding of different epidemiological, medico-legal, and health system differences between countries.

To educate students about Social Determinants of Health.

Create cross border collaborations in the field of Public Health, and, in the long run, facilitate activities across NMOs.

Enable students to critically evaluate existing projects, campaigns and programs in the field of Public Health.

Italy
Projects:
a) The migration process as a social determinant of health.
b) Epidemiology, surveillance and control of infectious diseases in Piedmont Region.
c) Nutritional epidemiology and Public Health.
d) Comprehensive approach and acquisition of basic techniques for understanding Public Health.
Germany
Projects:
a) Heidelberg’s AIDS-Alliance: anonymous counselling of persons having questions on the subject of HIV/AIDS.
b) Local Public Health Authority – Data evaluation regarding different topics (school entrance examinations; infectious diseases.
c) Global Health, linking teaching and practice.
Egypt
Projects:
a) Breast Cancer in Egypt.
