Our Alumni

The MSAI Alumni Council was created in the year 2019 to involve and interact with individuals who have been active in the past work of the organisation. They have positively influenced it and contributed to its development, sustainability and visibility. The creation of this Alumni Council provides our members an opportunity to network and learn from their experiences

Dr. Nipun Nagpal is the former president of MSAI (2018-19) and Chair of MSAI-UNESCO Bioethics Unit. He has represented MSAI at multiple GAs and domestic forums. Currently working as a house doctor at a cardiology hospital, he is actively involved in the family business as well as being an aspiring healthcare entrepreneur himself, preparing for the upcoming MBA exams

Dr. Adit Desai is the Managing Director of KD Hospital, A 300-bedded hospital based in Ahmedabad. He was the former President of MSAI during the 2016-17 term and also the VP for External Affairs. Dr. Adit represented MSAI at multiple IFMSA General Assemblies and was a part of the team that got MSAI India it’s Full membership in IFMSA during the Mexico GA 2016. He also represented MSAI India at the WHO World Health Assembly held in Geneva in 2017

Working at MSAI has been a transformative experience. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me connect with my values as a leader. My experience in various positions catapulted me into rooms that I had once just dreamt of. However, the one thing that I am most grateful for is the friendships that I formed at MSAI. As a third-year medical student, I was able to thrive at establishing research exchanges entirely with the support of my blue family (shout out to the team of 16-17 ), particularly my best friend and co-NORE, Bharat.
